For a private client, I designed a custom wall-to-wall furniture piece to replace mismatched wood furnishings in a shared bedroom. This comprehensive unit maximizes wall space, significantly increasing storage capacity and functionality.
The design features two identical sections for each sister, each with its own desk space, shelves, drawers, and additional storage for hanging clothes and shoes. And a third section: a shared area that includes a console for appliances like phones, radios, and keys, as well as more storage. This cohesive, space-efficient solution enhances the room's organization and aesthetic appeal, giving it a clean modern look.
The accent points are wood-laminated open shelves that allow the clients to exhibit their favorite books. While the rest of the storage is behind closed doors to ensure the space always looks organized.
